This is the story of Pam Stanczewski, people-person, conversationalist, and all-around patriot. It’s the story of how small talk turned into big thinking, and of how big thinking turned into a gigantic mission.
As co-founder and CEO of Central Point Partners, a whizbang, next-generation staffing and IT services firm, Pam is in front of, on the phone with, or sitting across from others, talking, listening, and learning.
So, it’s not unusual for Pam, who employs several military veterans herself, to talk with military families about work, kids, deployments, relocations, and military life.
Time and again, Pam heard the stories of military families who struggle too much, too often to find financial stability simply because the spouse can’t find meaningful work that fits the military lifestyle.
Then in 2016, after yet another in a long string of conversations with military veterans and spouses, Pam couldn’t stop thinking about how wrong it is for military spouses, fiancés, and partners to be denied a career just because they’re sharing life with a solider.
“I literally stayed awake all night wondering what I could do to help military families,” says Pam. “I remember thinking, ‘What a great model we have here with our sales and recruiting team, helping our clients find top talent. If only we could come up with something like that to employ, equip, and empower military spouses.”
Bingo!
That night, EMPLOY. EQUIP. EMPOWER. was born. And within 24 hours, Pam and her team had put a stake in the ground for a new division of Central Point Partners, which would dedicate itself to employing and training motivated military spouses.
But Pam wanted to do things right, so she didn’t launch the operation until she’d done due diligence. She spent the next two years pouring her energies into constructing the strategy and then attended an entrepreneurship program at Babson College, turning her findings into a real-world growth strategy, and piloting her revolutionary business model.
Today, Operation Mobile Spouses plays an influential role in the lives of U.S. military spouses everywhere. Not only are we welcoming them to our team at Central Point Partners by offering them jobs from entry-level sourcing to senior-level recruiting, but we work hard to find positions that are the right fit for each spouse. They give up so much when their partner's give up everything for this country and while we can never thank them for their sacrifice, we can do our best to make sure their career is not one more thing they have to give up. By finding military spouses remote careers with our partners, we are giving back to military spouses.
